Iowa Carry is not just a web site or forums.  There are events that take place out in the community that we try to be a part of or want to advertise to our members and guests.

Gun shows are the primary way that we reach out to new people across the state.  At any given gun show, we never fail to find people who have no idea what the situation is in Iowa, and we almost always find people who have permits that are unfairly restricted or may not even understand how the restriction on their permit actually works.

We try to have a table at every major gun show in the state.  In order to make that work, we need to have people staffing the tables and talking to visitors.  There is no special skill needed!  If you know what the problem is in Iowa, and you know how the system unfairly denies permits to certain people in our state based only on where they live, you know what the problem is.  All you need to do is be able to describe the problem to someone else.

We are adding new methods to reaching out to new people such as display on the DART bus. Another way we are bringing attention the problem here in Iowa.

If you want to obtain a Permit to Carry Weapons, you need to attend training recognized by your local Sheriff.  In the "Training" link, we will attempt to list upcoming training programs that cover required training as well as supplimental training that will help our members further enhance their skills with firearms.  Note that unless otherwise specified, the training classes listed are NOT sanctioned or sponsored by Iowa Carry.
